Ok, here is my own personal list of action items that cut my own San Antonio auto insurance rate in half…yep.

I have not tried this, but you might want to look into this if you have lots of silly tickets on your record.
4. Ask for discounts. I was amazed at how many discounts I was able to apply to my policy just for asking about them. Military, retired, active or reserve service seems to be all they want in most cases.
a. Senior citizens
b. Good grades for students
c. Credit union membership or some other fraternal organization like Lyons Club and maybe even Rotary..not sure
d. Limited use vehicles only used once in a while or just to and from work or school
5. Combine your other insurance coverages, like your homeowners with your San Antonio auto insurance policy will cut your rates on both by as much as 20% if you combine with the same insurance company.
6. Compare your rates often…you really should do this every 3 years or so and you will be amazed at what the competition is willing to give you to switch your policy over to them. I got 5 different rate quotes from many carriers both large and small and kept calling them back with the lower competitor quote until they finally told me that was as low as they were going to go. Ya, it took some time, but I saved a boat load by doing so.
